One of Europe’s leading period ensembles, the Feinstein Ensemble, makes its Cowbridge debut. Resident ensemble at St Martin in the Fields, London, this world class ensemble performs around 30 concerts each year and we are thrilled to be welcoming them to Cowbridge for their only performance in Wales this year. They will open the festival with thrilling baroque concerti for violin, cello, harpsichord and recorder.

“Martin Feinstein […] drew a rich, at times remarkable, range of colours and timbres from his […]  period instrument players.” Fiona Maddocks, The Observer

“The playing was full of verve and clarity.” The Guardian

Note: This year, to ensure that our audiences feel safe and comfortable, all festival concerts will be run with social distancing in place. To enable this, all concerts will be about 1 hour long, with no interval, and each performance will be given twice (with both concerts sharing an identical programme).

Because of pandemic restrictions, we are unable to provide an in-person box office this year. Given the reduced audience capacity, booking in advance is strongly recommended.
