Felix Mendelssohn – String Quartet No.6 in F minor Op.80
Anton Dvorák – String Quartet ‘American’ No.12 in F major, Op.96

One of the most distinguished young string quartets of their generation and prize winners at the 2015 Wigmore Hall International String Quartet Competition, the group juxtaposes Mendelssohn’s stormy quartet No.6 in F minor with Dvorak’s upbeat ‘American’ String Quartet No.12 in F major, Op.96.

“Spot on timing, confident musical direction … Exciting and edgy, risks taken with great success … An educated classical style, complete confidence in dramatic gestures” – St. Martin in the Fields Chamber Music Competition

5pm concert SOLD OUT

Note: This year, to ensure that our audiences feel safe and comfortable, all festival concerts will be run with social distancing in place. To enable this, all concerts will be about 1 hour long, with no interval, and each performance will be given twice (with both concerts sharing an identical programme).

Because of pandemic restrictions, we are unable to provide an in-person box office this year. Given the reduced audience capacity, booking in advance is strongly recommended.
